Pubs need three things to succeed; product, place and people. People are clearly the key. And, whilst people haven’t been able to benefit from the pub in its usual capacity, many pubs have diversified and pivoted their businesses to meet their customers’ needs, from hot meals for those that need them, through to new vaccination centres. Is covid restoring the traditional ‘community spirit’ that had started to dilute in modern years? Will it enable the survival of the pub?
